So Mightily Grew the Word of God and Prevailed

The First-Century Church Witnessing and Undershepherding The Fellowlaborers’ House (2 Baier) Chatten, Bob 01/01/2012 01/01/2012

We see the lifestyle of the believers in the first-century Church in detail from Acts 2:41-47. They had respect for God and each other, and they lived with love, grace, and commitment, and that allowed the Mystery to live. As a result, many people were saved and came to a knowledge of the truth. The Word will prevail when we are truly committed.

You Cannot Serve God and Mammon

Believing Prosperity The Fellowlaborers’ House (2 Baier) Armstrong, Joe 01/01/2012 01/01/2012

Jesus Christ stated that we cannot serve God and mammon, where mammon refers to what is trusted in the world. A real relationship with God takes effort, but it is great gain. God wants to take care of people. It’s the truth that makes you free from deep negative emotions, fear, and anxiety. There is no other refuge and strength except for God. God should not be just a hobby for you; you should addict yourself to God and His Word, putting God first above anything else.

Service in the Book of Philippians

The First Century Church The Great Mystery Leadership and Service The Fellowlaborers’ House (2 Baier) Zolezzi, Steve 12/31/2011 12/31/2011

This teaching looks at the lack of service in the Philippian church due to wrong practice regarding the Mystery by not serving one another. Jesus Christ, Timothy, and Epaphroditus are given as examples of people who helped correct this by demonstrating right practice in the area of service to help others live the Mystery and walk in love. If the Mystery is going to live, it takes people having a great heart to serve and give, not being wrapped up in themselves, but looking for needs in the Body to bless the people they are with and bring out their best. Service starts with a decision to stand fast together so we can do the utmost for the highest and serve the Word of life.
